Pattern 32: too ADJ for n to-inf

The adjective follows too and is followed by a prepositional phrase which consists of for and a noun group, and a to-infinitive clause.
Sometimes the words after the adjective indicate an event that is not possible.
The cost, in terms of human tragedy, is far too great to calculate.
It is not too late for parents to book their children into activity holidays this summer.
Sometimes they indicate what cannot be done by someone with the person or thing already referred to.
Mobs stormed a city centre and smashed the windows of shops displaying food too expensive for them to buy.
It was closed by a bolt too high for the boys to reach.
If the clause begins with introductory it, the prepositional phrase and the to-infinitive clause together indicate something that should not happen.
I think it's too easy for bands to be written off as sounding like other people.
