The verb is followed by a plural noun group. This may consist either of one noun group indicating two or more people or things, or of two or more co-ordinated noun groups. The passive pattern is be V-ed.This pattern has one structure:
    Verb with Object
    The research will compare two drugs.
Active voice: V pl-n
