det ADJ n

det ADJ n

The adjective comes before a noun, and the noun group typically begins with a determiner, such as a, any, my, the, or these. Some adjectives typically occur with the only, or with a possessive determiner (my, your, his, her, its, our, their) only. These are indicated by the word my in the lists below. These patterns are the ADJ n and poss ADJ n.Some of these adjectives also occur as determiners. For example, other is an adjective when it follows a determiner, as in the other people, but it is sometimes a determiner itself, as in other people.
