Combining forms

The '-hungry' group

These combining forms combine with nouns. The adjectives formed indicate that someone likes or wants something very much, or to an excessive degree.
In the Amazon new roads reach into the jungle. Following the roads come land-hungry settlers and cattle barons.
In the meantime, however, Star Wars opened and, overnight, the world went sci-fi-mad.
