Comparative adjectives

Pattern 5: ADJ-COMPAR than adv

The comparative adjective is followed by than and an adverb such as before, ever, then, or now.
It means that they are even more isolated than before.
They're increasingly frustrated and more willing than ever to take their business elsewhere.
