The 'flash' group

These nouns are used to indicate how soon or how quickly something happened or will happen.
This use is productive: the pattern can be used with noun groups referring to specific amounts of time, for example in five minutes.
It was all over in a flash, I didn't have time to think.
In time we will be in a position to pay all our debts, including the electricity bill.
