The 'easy' and 'safe' group

These adjectives indicate that the action indicated in the '-ing' clause is easy, safe, or useful.
'It's not easy getting people to change,' sighed Mr Moore.
The family decided that crime was getting so bad it wasn't safe living in Minnesota anymore so they decided to move to Iowa.
It is worthwhile looking out for special deals and discounts.
  • easy
  • safe
  • useful
  • worthwhile
  • Worth also has this pattern and meaning. However, it does not behave like an adjective in other ways: for example, you cannot say that an action is worth.
    If your problem is serious, it might be worth seeing a doctor.
