The 'evidence' group

These nouns refer to words or evidence supporting a theory or claim.
He has produced no evidence for his claim.
In the case of argument, case, and evidence, the preposition for is sometimes followed by an '-ing' clause.
There is, of course, an argument for dismantling controls and regulation wherever possible.
