The 'grief' group

These nouns refer to emotions, attitudes, or states of mind, mostly negative ones. They may be general or individual.
He is consumed by grief over the death of his beautiful wife Lily.
He made the announcement amid mounting pessimism over the chances of reaching agreement on the issue of farm subsidies.
The preposition over is sometimes followed by an '-ing' clause.
Benjamin was a teenager racked with guilt and anxiety over wasting his life.
In the case of nouns referring to anxiety or uncertainty, the preposition over is sometimes followed by a wh-clause.
There were doubts over whether the experiment would get off the ground.
