The 'delighted' group

These adjectives indicate that someone is happy about the event or situation indicated in the to-infinitive clause.
You've got to be very thankful to win once, never mind twice.
In the case of delighted, happy, pleased, and proud, the adjective often introduces something that someone wants to say.
