These combining forms combine with adjectives and nouns. The adjectives formed indicate what part of something, for example a building, vehicle, or container, is made of or is like.-bottomed -centred -edged -floored -hulled -leaved -mouthed -rimmed -roofed -sided -stemmed -tiled -tipped -topped -walled -winged
The fruit is simply steeped in sugar and spirit in a wide-mouthed jar.
