Graded and ungraded adjectives

Pattern 9: ADJ enough for n

The adjective is followed by enough and a prepositional phrase which consists of for and a noun group.
Sometimes the noun group following for indicates a person or thing for whom something is acceptable or suitable.
The way English and other subjects were taught was not attractive enough for the students.
The room inside was about seven feet square, harshly lit and just big enough for a chair and a high padded couch.
Sometimes the noun group indicates something that can happen or that someone can take part in.
Hollard was told to come back later when he was old enough for military service.
The reclaimed land is not stable enough for development.
