The Object comes either between the verb and the particle or after the particle. Most phrasal verbs have both these patterns, and if the Object comes after the particle, it is not a pronoun. You say

I nearly mixed up the two twinsbut you do not say I nearly mixed up them.However, in the case of one phrasal verb, come between, the Object comes after the particle only and it may be a pronoun. You say
