The 'beneficial' group

These adjectives indicate that something or someone is beneficial to something or someone, or is well adapted to certain conditions.
Such plants not only attract many insects which are beneficial to the birds, but also provide seclusion and valuable nesting sites.
Being born means a drastic change of environment - in particular, the baby's lungs must be equal to the task of supplying it with oxygen.

The preposition to is sometimes followed by an '-ing' clause.
