The 'familiar' group

These adjectives indicate that someone knows someone or something, or does not know them.
The local newspaper only advertised jobs in Welsh so unless you were fully conversant with the Welsh language you certainly weren't going to get a job there.
He was becoming familiar with the geography of the city.
The station claims to be more in touch with what's going on in current music than any other in the country.
