Pattern combination 3: V adj; V n adj

In the pattern V adj, the verb is followed by an adjective group. In the pattern V n adj, the verb is followed by a noun group and an adjective group. This pattern combination is symmetrical. This combination of patterns has one structure combination:
    Verb with Complement; Verb with Object and Object Complement
    The door slammed shut.She slammed the door shut.
