The 'hidebound' group

These adjectives indicate that someone is prevented from acting freely, or not prevented from acting freely. The noun group following the preposition by indicates the thing or situation that might or does prevent free action.
Most of the tourists who come are culturally hungry and educated and not hidebound by English traditions.
She had a naive belief that things go best if businessmen are allowed to make money unhampered by any kind of regulations.
