These adjectives indicate that someone or something is famous or special in some way.
He is famous for his witty approach to design.
The whole organization has been remarkable for its discipline.
With all of these adjectives except unmatched, the preposition for is sometimes followed by an '-ing' clause.
The music world is notorious for discarding its stars for newer models.
