The adjective is followed by a prepositional phrase beginning with from and a prepositional phrase beginning with to. There are two adjectives with this pattern. They indicate that something does not vary.
Doctors are trained to expect that a drug will affect the great majority of individuals in a way that is consistent from person to person.
The sex difference in the importance of attractiveness remains constant from one generation to the next.
