The 'married' group

These adjectives indicate that one person or group is related in a contractual way to another person or group. The adjectives betrothed, engaged, and married are reciprocal adjectives.
At the end of the war he was articled to his father at the well-known Lincoln's Inn firm of Speechly, Mumford and Soames.
He was happily married to a girl he had known since his schooldays.
