Comparative adjectives

Pattern 10: ADJ-COMPAR n than prep

The comparative adjective is followed by a noun, than, and a prepositional phrase.
Provisional projections, due out tomorrow, are expected to show far bigger losses than had been expected.
The local fish soup is usually excellent, thicker and with a more robust flavour than on the French mainland.
