The 'good practice' group

These nouns are used to indicate that an action or state is good in some way.
It is etiquette to talk to the person on your right and left equally.
It's good practice to interview several attorneys before you make a final choice.

  • Practice is also sometimes preceded by adjectives such as common, standard, and normal. When used like this, it is often followed by a prepositional phrase beginning with for.
