The 'claim' group

These nouns refer to a claim that someone has or makes to something.
In the past, any royal marrying a Catholic has had to renounce their claim to the throne.
People have a right to privacy.

  • There are also two nouns which refer to someone who is claiming something.
    Mary Stuart, queen of Scotland and a claimant to the English throne, was forced to beg Elizabeth to protect her. She was later executed.
