The 'come' and 'go' group

These verbs indicate that the action indicated by the second verb is done. Only the base forms of the verbs, come and go, are used in this pattern. It is used mainly in American English.
Why don't you come see me any more?
What I did was reach for my bathrobe and go open my front door.
