Combining forms

The '-flavoured' group

All these combining forms except spiced combine with nouns, -spiced combines with adverbs, and -flavoured combines with adverbs and adjectives. The adjectives formed indicate that something contains a particular element, physically or metaphorically.
Cinnamon-flavoured biscuits are a real treat in a lunch box or on the tray for morning or afternoon tea.
Don't in any circumstances eat highly spiced foods or acids such as vinegar.
Iris' gospel-tinged songs resonate with a poignancy and feeling for the land as only country music can.
