Combining forms

The '-centred' group

These combining forms combine with a range of other words:
    with nouns: -based, -centred
    with adverbs: -based
    with nouns and adverbs: -orientated, -oriented
The adjectives formed indicate the central focus or interest of someone or something.
Whatever their significance, scientific theories are absolutely fundamental to Western science-based culture and civilisation.
He joined a child-centred community where there were equal rights between adults and children.
