Pattern 12: ADJ enough n

The adjective is followed by the adverb enough. They are followed by a noun.
As in the pattern ADJ enough (see Pattern 7 above), enough has three meanings. Sometimes it means 'sufficient'.
Unless you include a large enough area, it's not going to be cost-effective for the district.
Sometimes it means 'fairly'.
On a nice summer evening the battlements were a pleasant enough place and had the advantage of a good view over the bridge.
Sometimes it means 'very'.
The new regulations on tackling and off-sides put a lot of pressure on our referees, who have a difficult enough job as it is.
