Graded and ungraded adjectives

The 'actual' group

These adjectives indicate that something is, or is said to be, real, true, or false.
The law does not require a person to be seriously hurt before they can respond to an actual or threatened attack.
My family tell me that I should stop dreaming and get myself a proper job.
The adjectives real and true are sometimes used to emphasize the quality of something.
In truth it is a wonderful little car, a joy to drive, a real pleasure to look at.
